Information we use
Account details include your name, email and any profile information you provide. We store the CVs, letters, applications, job listings, alert preferences and payment references needed for the services you use. Operational logs help investigate errors, security issues and delivery failures.
Why we use it and who receives it
We use this information to run accounts, prepare documents, process applications, deliver service emails and alerts, moderate listings and verify payments. When you apply, your selected documents and application details go to the hiring employer. The employer handles information it receives under its own practices. Account and guest management links are private and should not be shared.
AI, email and payment providers
When you request an AI draft, the supplied career facts, notes and relevant job details are sent to the configured AI provider. Avoid entering sensitive or unnecessary personal information. Email delivery providers process recipients and message content. Payment providers process the information required to confirm a transaction. These providers may process data outside Kenya; contact us for information about the current providers and applicable safeguards.
Browser notifications
If you enable browser push, we store an encrypted delivery endpoint and encryption keys. Guest subscriptions are managed using a random Secure, HttpOnly browser cookie retained for up to one year; it does not create an account or collect your email. Browser push providers process notification delivery. Not now is remembered in browser local storage for seven days, and explicit device opt-out suppresses further invitations until re-enabled or site storage is cleared. Turn notifications off through Browser notifications in the footer or your browser site settings.
Cookies and public content
Essential cookies support sign-in, security and request verification. For guest job posts, a protected cookie remembers your company for up to 30 days so you can post another vacancy without retyping its details. Use a different company on the posting form clears that selection. Published vacancies, approved company profiles and public cover letter examples can be indexed by search engines. Your private account, saved documents and application attachments are not public search pages. Publicly sharing a job uses the external service you choose, whose own privacy terms apply.
Retention and your choices
We retain information needed to provide the service, resolve support and payment issues, and meet applicable record-keeping obligations. You can edit your profile, manage documents and pause or unsubscribe from alerts. Some transaction and security records may need to be retained; we will explain any applicable limits when handling your request.
