Head Housekeeper

The Head Housekeeper, will oversee daily housekeeping operations, mentor staff, and deliver personalised guest experiences. This hands-on leadership role ensures all guest suites and shared spaces are flawlessly maintained, aesthetically presented, and aligned with our commitment to exceptional guest service and sustainability.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead, train, and supervise housekeeping and laundry teams.

- Maintain impeccable room and public area standards through regular inspections and SOP enforcement.

- Coordinate personalised turndown and in-room guest experiences.

- Manage inventory, linen control, and stock levels.

- Ensure compliance with health, hygiene, and safety protocols.

- Support sustainability practices using eco-conscious products and processes.- Collaborate with other departments and report to the Lodge Manager

Qualifications & Experience:

- Diploma or Degree in Hospitality or Housekeeping Management.

- 3–5 years’ experience in a senior housekeeping role in a luxury lodge, safari camp, or 5-star hotel.

- Strong leadership, communication, and training skills.

- Excellent attention to detail and guest service standards.

- Proficiency in English (other languages an advantage).

- MS Office proficiency.

- Previous experience in remote or bush-based hospitality is highly desirable
